Thanks Grandma Andrea

Thank you Grandma Andrea for our Halloween package. The boys just love their shirts. The boys look so big in these pictures. They are growing up way too fast.

Family Home Evening Cupcakes

For Family Home Evening last Monday we got together with Carol and the Bolingers for an evening of cupcake decorating fun. We baked about 60 cupcakes and bought at least fifteen different candies for our evening of creativity. We did this last year and loved it, so we've made it a tradition. The boys enjoyed eating lots of candy and smearing icing all over for the first twenty minutes, but it was really the adults who had the most fun. Trevor was away on business last year so this was his first year creating with us. We were all impressed with his cupcake abilities. He even came up with some Trevor originals like the black widow he's holding in one of his pictures. This is definitely one of my favorite October traditions.

Pumpkin Patch October 10, 2009

This Saturday we spent part of the day at the Bi-Zi Farms Pumpkin Patch. This is one of my all time favorite fall family traditions. I don't know what it is about the pumpkin patch, but I just love it. I'm as excited as the boys to be there. Bi-Zi Farms is one of the best patches I've been to because there is something for everyone to enjoy.

The boys favorite area is definitely the corn pit. It was bigger this year then last so Trevor and I took off our shoes and joined in the fun. Both boys loved climbing onto the hay barrels and jumping into the corn. They wanted Dad to burry them in the corn just like sand at a beach. My favorite part is feeding and petting the farm animals. I guess that stems from my animal loving childhood. Anyone who know Trevor can probably guess that his favorite part is the pumpkin launching. This year he was really close to launching a pumpkin in a barrell for a prize. We came home with three huge pumpkins and a very happy family memory.

Saturday Fun

Trevor and I took the boys to Kids Club a few Saturdays ago. They have a new ball shooting area that TJ, Russell, and Trevor just loved. I couldn't have taken the boys on my own because I am too big and pregnant to crawl around in all the kid tunnels. I did manage to get up to the shooting area through the handicapped entrance. I guess if you can get a wheel chair up to that part you can get a pregnant woman up there.

This was a big step for Russell. He usually doesn't like heights.

It's a little noisy from the ball machines, but you can still hear me over the loud air.

A new cousin

Heather and Christian welcomed baby Drake into the world September 15th. We visited them in the hospital as a family the next evening. Drake is so sweet and so small. I would love to have a 7 pound baby. It would probably help if I had my baby three weeks early like Heather did. Russell and Savannah were so funny with the newborn soothers from the hospital.

Golf Date Night

Trevor and I love to Golf together Friday night for our weekly date. Last week we went to Fairview Acres, a local nine hole. We thought we would get a cart since I'm 31 weeks pregnant, and the course is full of par 4 and 5's, but because we were teeing off at 6:00 they were not renting out carts. Trevor kindly pulled my clubs around the course. I somehow have golf energy in reserve because I was still standing after two hours. Golfing together is probably one of my favorite things to do with Trevor. We're out on a beautiful course talking and enjoying one another. I hope we golf together for the next 40 years.

This is a little video of Trevor's hit. He videoed my hit, but it wasn't pretty. The tummy sometimes gets in the way.

Happy Birthday Boys

Since it's past both Trevor and Russell's birthday I am going to post the two occasions together. Russell turned two, August 21st and Trevor turned thirty-three, September 8th.
