New Addition to the Family

Over Christmas Break our 86 Honda Accord died. This was the same Honda Accord I drove when I lived at home 13 years ago. We were sad to see it go because it had been such a great park and ride car, but not too sad.

Trevor and I shopped for a car while in Olympia and settled on this beauty after a few test drives. Wes helped us get a killer deal on the 08 Odyssey we couldn't pass up. Thanks Wesley. I don't know how it happened, but Trevor did succumb to a van. I think he is just a great husband and wants to make his wife happy. Needless to say I'm thrilled. I look for reasons to go for a drive each day. This is truly the ultimate mom vehicle.

I have to add this one funny detail. Trevor was dead set on a Pilot and had brainwashed TJ into thinking we needed a Pilot and not a van. When we came home from the dealership with the van TJ's reaction was an angry, "my daddy doesn't want a van he wants a Pilot."

Check out that storage! Those seats fold into the floor with just a simple tug

New Years

We brought in the New Year in Olympia Washington with friends and family. Here are a few pictures of the nights activities. You won't want to miss out on the count down video where I captured Carson kissing his girlfriend Faith.

Trent's Wedding in Washington

Trevor and I started out in the snow quite optimistic about getting to Seattle in time for the wedding dinner. However, not even two minutes after leaving the driveway we ended up in a ditch. Our tires threw off the chains because they were so bald. Luckly Mountain Man Wes and his gang of strength came to our rescue. They pretty much pushed us all the way to the main road. It took us an hour and a half to get less than 2 miles off Young Road. We were so glad for family. Thanks to Jena we have this fun memory caught on camera.

Trent and Emily were married in the Seattle Temple on December the 27th. We tried to warn them about getting married in Washington in December, but just like us when we were 10 years younger, we got married when and where we wanted. It was sure nice of Trent to pick such a sweet girl from Washington. We traveled over two mountain passes after the sealing in Seattle to get to Wenatchee for the reception. Both the sealing and the reception were beautiful. We were thankful to see the Adam's family for a few days during Christmas vacation.

Upon arriving at the reception TJ was quite enamored with the cake. He decided to stick his fingers in the side to have a little taste.

A Dance for TJ and Emily

Family Home Evening

I know I haven't finished Christmas yet, but I couldn't wait to put this on. For FHE TJ and Russell sang the song they've been learning in Primary before we started our lesson on Adam and Eve. I thought the song was way too cute. I especially loved TJ's commentary afterwards. We've been learning about the plan of salvation and life before we came to earth.
